What is Restylane®?

Restylane® is a line of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers designed to help smooth wrinkles, enhance facial volume, and restore a more youthful appearance. As one of the world's most studied dermal fillers, Restylane® has been used in over 40 million treatments worldwide since its launch in 1996.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps maintain hydration, fullness, and elasticity. As we age, our natural hyaluronic acid production decreases, leading to volume loss and the formation of wrinkles and folds. Restylane® works by replenishing this lost hyaluronic acid, instantly restoring volume and smoothing away wrinkles.

The original Restylane® formula is designed to smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, particularly around the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds). It can also be used for lip enhancement and to address facial volume loss.

Restylane® Lyft

Formerly known as Perlane, Restylane® Lyft is designed to add volume to the cheeks and midface area, as well as correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. It's also approved for correcting age-related volume loss in the back of the hands.

Formulated to help smooth deeper laugh lines (nasolabial folds and marionette lines) while maintaining natural facial expressions. It provides more support for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.

What to Expect

During your consultation, our expert practitioners will assess your facial anatomy and discuss your aesthetic goals to determine which Restylane® product is right for you. The treatment itself takes about 15-60 minutes, depending on the areas being treated.

Restylane® products contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to help minimize discomfort during the procedure. We can also apply a topical numbing cream before treatment for additional comfort.

Results are visible immediately after treatment, with optimal results appearing once any swelling has subsided. Depending on the specific Restylane® product used and the area treated, results can last from 6 to 18 months.

After treatment, you may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites, but these side effects are typically minimal and temporary. Most patients can return to their normal activities immediately after treatment.
