Kybella® contains a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, resulting in a more contoured neck profile.

How Kybella® Works

Kybella® works by physically destroying fat cells in the treatment area. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, the deoxycholic acid in Kybella® breaks down the cell membrane of fat cells. Once these cells are destroyed, they can no longer store or accumulate fat. Your body then naturally processes and eliminates these destroyed fat cells.

The treatment is administered through a series of small injections directly into the submental fat. The number of injections and treatment sessions required varies based on the amount of fat present and your desired profile. Most patients require 2-4 treatment sessions, spaced at least 1 month apart, to achieve optimal results.
